Throughout the almost one month of holidaying, I've only caught 2 movies. How pathetic!! The first movie I caught was Ghost of GFs Past. It's awesome!! Then I caught Monsters VS Alien. It was hilarious! But a kiddy show la hahah. Then, I completed Dan Brown's Deception Point. Alrights I know I'm quite late at this, but at least I completed the book man it's really good stuff and Dan Brown is just brilliant! I love the whole deception thingy, how he managed to fill the reader's mind with the intrigues and fascination, and how he keep me glued to the book till the wee hours of the night - 4am, and not wanting to give in to my tiredness! I had to force myself to sleep, and with the images and plots running through my mind, I woke up eager to complete the book. Awesomeness. I don't remember the last time I was so excited reading a book.
Sian man. Actually I don't know what I'm looking for in a career. Does a 8 - 5 job keeps me satisfied? I really like a job that I can move around. But dont ask me stand in the bus interchange or near the MRT selling stuffs or what. I really really enjoy doing marcom in SPE but the thing with being in the Media industry is the remuneration. Fun and exciting, that's for sure. But I wanna be financially independent!!
I went for rounds of interviews with SMRT. And for the time and effort, I hope they can offer me something decent man! (even thou the thought of travelling to AMK and reach by 815 everyday seems tiresome) AND, when I almost wanted to give up hope waiting, DBS finally called me for an interview!! Double awesomeness cos it gives me HOPE. HAHAH. It does seem like a sparkle in the darkness doesnt it. Okay maybe not that exaggerated. Now that I'm almost a month into my unemployed status, I'm a bit worried. Maybe I should do some part time land banking at Walton, earn some cash before it depletes.
Oh yeah, I am VERY disappointed that my trip to HK is not going to materialise anytime soon. For one, I may not be able to get leave should I be working then. For two, even if I can get leave, it leaves bad impressions marks, which is so uncalled for in this climate. HAIZZZZZ. and For three, Andy is not going to be able to take leave in July. So a spontaneous decision won't work either. How? Let's just hope I get a job, and at least I can buy myself something good to pamper yours truly for the hard work and effort for the past few months.
Alrights in view of my very mundane and too wordy posts, I decided to upload some pictures! I tried uploading pictures few days ago but blogger seems to be having some problem. So, I tried my luck again today. And you're in for a feast. Hahha. Ok la not that I have some fantabulous pics to flash or what. They're in FB anyway. Oh well.
Last Saturday was ZOO day! We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How about you, you, you?? Hahha the last time I was at the zoo was prolly when I was in primary school la! So the trip got me feeling a little tourist-like. I don't know why but the pictures are not in order and I am too lazy to rearrange them. But anyhows, the trip was quite fun despite the super humid weather. The trip to the zoo got me concluding that pigs and monkeys and goats aren't really my thing. I prefer the African wild animals like zebra, lions, cheetahs etc. Oh yeah, I thought I can learn more about animals and clearing some doubts. But it seems like I'm still equally bimbotic when it comes to animals. I still can't differentiate the big cats, specifically cheetahs leopards and jaguars. They are so similar!
After half a day of exploration, Andy and I decided to pamper our tired legs with foot spa! That's the one with the fishes biting dead skin and whatnots from your feet. It was so shiok!! At first I was quite uncomfortable (becos we were so adventurous we decided to try the bigger fishes first) but after trying out the smaller fishes, it was quite shuang! Just think $5 pedicure and clean legs. You will overcome it. Then, I felt that it was no kick, so I migrated to the larger fish area leaving Andy gripping with fear in the smaller fish area. HAHA! After the spa, our legs indeed got cleaner and smoother! I would want to try again man. Oh yeah. This so reminds me of the massage that Andy persuaded me for in Batam. I will never forget the foot massage. So Andy, we're even!
Doesnt this look like we're in the birdpark!! I think I'd rather take pictures with Ah Meng (even thou he's a monkey) cos it's more z00-like!
Yay that was zoo. I'm looking forward to more outdoor activities! It beats cooping up at home watching tv and growing fat from all the snacking which as hard as I try, can't resist.
I'm so tired from waking up early today. But I'm not going to nap to distrupt my body clock. I'm going to swim! Have been swimming more often during the holidays. I hope the kicking and stretching makes me healthier haha. Ok I'm gonna aim for 50 laps.
Till the next post!
