I went to sleep last night with a slight sore throat, thinking that I'll be fine the next morning. Almost wanted to get up to pop my extra strong lozenges, but was too lazy to do so. To my utmost horror, I was greeted this morning with an excruciating sore throat! :( Felt so depressed and it IS so painful. Bad day! For the whole day, I drowned myself with warm honey drink and strepsils! And my nose is running like a tap. *cries out loud* f*ck my damn flu, there goes my precious weekend.
I hope I recover tomorrow.
The culprits may be the bitter-sweet durians (ouch my throat HURTS), maltesers (silent killer), katjies soft jellies (you look so innocent), tom yam & mala hot pot (outrageous!), and loads of junk and unhealthy stuffs that I've been taking.
BUT. I have been downing at least 1.5litres of water everyday! Not enough?? That's unfair.
Enough of the tragedy. Some blissful stuffs instead.
Deardear surprised me with homecooked-aixin-dinner last night! Despite me being late, and the fish was slightly cold, the food was awesome!! We had fish fillet with belacan toppings, baked potatoes, sunny-side up, and English clam chowder! The egg was damn big man! I think it's duck egg cos the shell is white, and the yolk is more orangy. Thank you dear for the gastronomic delight! Hehehe
Then rewinding back to Thurs night, it was farewell dinner with my colleagues at beach road for two ex colleagues as they are gonna relocate. So, I had hot pot for the second time within a week! Gosh. Enough. I so prefer home style hot pot. But anyway, it wasnt about the food, it was about catching up. To side track a lil, the hygiene there is really f*cking bad. I saw this baby roach scrambling across the plates. Totally spoit my appetite. Ok getting back. I like hanging ard with my colleagues, and ex colleagues. I think I feel a bit sad that they are leaving. Haha. After dinner, we went to liang seah street for dessert! I had my fave barley and gingko nut dessert :) Bliss. The papaya milk dessert tastes so nourishing too! But I don't think everyone can appreciate it, cos it's really milky. Haha. Anyhows, I wish them all the best in Japan / Paris!
How I wish I can relocate too. Go somewhere, lead a secluded life. No bags of worries. No problem bugging me. Nothing. Just be happy :)
Not that I am unhappy here. I just feel my bag getting heavier as I get less young. Oh gosh come on I'm just 21 this year!
Oh wells.
My head feels heavy. I think I really caught the flu. Shooooooo. I end the post with a heavy note.
